The Auburn Senior Activity Center rummage sale: March 25-26, Auburn Senior Activity Center, 808 Ninth St. SE, Auburn. Hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Pacific Parks Pick-up Plus: 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m., April 16. City of Pacific celebrates Earth Day with a community-wide cleanup effort. A volunteer appreciation lunch begins at 12:30 p.m., along with a kids art contest. Concert for Cullen: 7:30 p.m., April 1, Kent First Church of the Nazarene, 903 E. James St., Kent). Breath of Aire, an 80-member coral group, will perform. Proceeds to benefit the family of Cullen Steele, an 11-year-old Kent boy and Auburn student who needs a double lung-heart transplant. The Children’s Organ Transplant Association has raised $50,000, but still needs more donations to reach its goal for the transplant-related expenses for the Steele family. Second annual Seahawks 12K Run at The Landing: 7:30-11 a.m., April 10, The Landing, 828 N. 10th Place, Renton. A benefit for the Renton/Skyway Boys & Girls Club. Sign up today to participate in the 5K, 12K or half-mile Kids Run. The 12K route offers a run along the southeast shore of Lake Washington and around the Seahawks training facility, the Virginia Mason Athletic Center. The 5K course is a flat and fast run through the South Lake Washington neighborhood and the Kids Run is within the confines of The Landing. The Federal Way & Auburn Boys and Girls Club and EX3 Teen Center’s 19th annual Breakfast for Kids fundraiser: 7:30 a.m., April 12, Emerald Downs, 2300 Emerald Downs Drive, Auburn. Seattle Mariners General Manager Jack Zduriencik is the keynote speaker. Proceeds go to student scholarships as well as educational, cultural and sports programs that benefit more than 3,500 deserving youth in South King County. Attendees are asked to make a contribution. While the program seeks major donors to help underwrite the event, the actual per person cost of the event is about $25. Landscape Design Study: April 27-28, South Seattle Community College, 6000 16th Ave. SW, Seattle. Merchants league: The Auburn Golf Course is now accepting signups for a new golf league for area merchants. The season will last from the beginning of May through August. While designed for merchants, a business affiliation is not required to form a team.  17-week league season on Mondays and Tuesdays, May 2-Aug. 23.  Weekly tee times: 4 p.m. – 5:52 p.m. Four-person team, 9-hole medal play format with handicaps. If you need help with your taxes, free help is available in Auburn for those making less than $50,000 per year and those over 50 years of age. Help with Spanish and Tagalog speaking clients also is available.  No appointment is necessary and agents will be available through April 15. Quality Tax preparation is provided by IRS-certificated, multilingual volunteers. This is a free service for households making less than $50,000; citizenship not necessary and electronic filling will be utilized for faster refunds. Those interested in the tax preparation assistance should bring all applicable tax forms and a bank account number (checking or savings) to have your refund directly deposited into your account. “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs:” 7-9 p.m., March 29, March 30, Performing Arts Building, Green River Community College, 12401 SE 320th St., Auburn. Presented by Heavier Than Air Family Theater, Green River Community College’s resident community theater. Informal read-through type auditions will be held for adults, ages 18 and above, on each evening. Auditioners should, but are not required to, bring a picture and lead sheet. Needed are community actors and actresses with strong singing, dancing and acting skills. Rehearsals will be every Tuesday and Thursday, starting April 7 with performances June 17, 18, 14, 25.

“Schoolhouse Rock Live!”: 7:30 p.m., March 24, 25, 26, Theatre at Auburn Mountainview, 28900 124 Ave. SE. A fantastic live version of the songs we all grew up with on TV in the 1970s, and 80s. The play is based on the 1970s Saturday morning cartoons that taught math, grammar and the government by using songs and humor.  Tickets are $5 for students, $8 adults.
