Feb. 15

Aid call: 3:15 p.m., (South Auburn). Firefighters stabilized the injured wrist of a boy who had fallen from his bike, and his family scooted him off to a local hospital.

Feb. 16

Aid call: 12:55 p.m., (Algona). Firefighters assessed a woman who was struggling to walk, and a private ambulance motored her off to a local hospital.

Feb. 17

Aid call: 6:34 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters treated an elderly male who was complaining of severe vomiting and a private ambulance transported him to a local hospital.

Feb. 18

Aid call: 7:13 p.m., (Lakeland Hills). Having completed their evaluation of a boy who had fainted and fallen, firefighters left him at home.

Feb. 19

Accident: 5:58 p.m., (South Auburn). Firefighters responding to a reported accident found two cars with minor damage blocking a roadway. Neither of the two people involved was hurt. Firefighters helped Auburn police officers with traffic control until the vehicles were off the road.

Feb. 20

Home fire: 3:53 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters dispatched to a fire that had spread to the ceiling from a fan found light smoke in the house, so they pulled down the ceiling, removed the fan, and wet down the charred insulation to prevent flames from spreading to the attic.
