Auburn Muffler, Brake & Radiator, in association with Carquest, is offering free vehicle checkups and maintenance education from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at its center, 1301 Auburn Way S.
In recognition of April being national “Be Car Care Aware” month, certified technicians will be on hand to inspect vehicles. Motorists will receive a complete checkup form, detailing well-maintained areas and those items that need service.
Technicians will be able to disclose potential safety and fuel efficiency problems, such as old fuel filters, under-inflated tires or low brake fluid.
“It’s a community activity that strives to encourage motorists to take care of their vehicles, which in many cases is one of their most costly investments,” said Chris Bowl, of Carquest.
Mark Holmes of Justice Bros. Fluids will be delivering demonstrations. Carquest is supplying free hot dogs, pop and goody bags. Allied Exhaust will be giving away Flowmaster hats and key chains and the Auburn Food Bank will have a donation barrel on site.
