Auburn’s Good Ol’ Days festival calls for local artists’ work

Artists are invited to submit their works for a juried exhibit during the Aug. 8-10 Auburn Good Ol’ Days festival. Participants must be 18 years or older and a U.S. citizen. Artwork must be original, entirely the work of the entrant, without supervision, and be less than two years old. No workshop or class creations, crafts, kits, 3-D or copyrighted paintings and published work will be accepted.

Artists are invited to submit their works for a juried exhibit during the Aug. 8-10 Auburn Good Ol’ Days festival.

Drop-off for the artwork is Aug. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Auburn City Hall, 25 W. Main St. Artists can enter up to three pieces of work for $15.

Cash rewards will be extended to the top three finishes. An artists’ reception is Aug. 8, from 4-6 p.m.

The art show, run in conjunction with the festival, will be on display Aug. 6-22 at the City Hall Gallery.

The theme for this summer’s festival is “Drive-In” to Good Ol’ Days, celebrating the memories and history of the outdoor movie theaters. The three-day festival includes a grand parade, golf tournament, fun run, classic car show, music and other entertainment, food and exhibits, arts and crafts.
