Unoccupied vehicle pulled from White River

An unoccupied vehicle was discovering floating in the White River early Thursday morning.

Firefighters from the Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 716 3rd Place SE in Pacific where the top half of the vehicle was visible from the bank of the river. A passerby spotted the vehicle in the middle of the river and called 911 to report it.

The VRFA quickly deployed surface swimmers to confirm the vehicle was unoccupied. Once it was confirmed unoccupied, fire department personnel worked with a local tow company to hook and pull the vehicle from the middle of the river.

Pacific Police were on location investigating the incident.
