Uline Shipping Supplies this week announced the lease of 282,393 square feet at the Auburn Logistics Center, 1005 C St.
The new facility, which will be Uline’s ninth location and is expected to open in April, will initially employ 50-80 people with opportunities to expand employment in response to market demand.
“We are delighted to be the new home for its Pacific Northwest and western Canada product distribution center. We are excited about the opportunities to collaborate with Uline to make its business successful and its employees welcome,” said Auburn Mayor Pete Lewis.
Uline has an extensive product line, including industrial and packaging materials, and carries more than 1,000 shipping box sizes alone. Uline currently has 2,500 employees nationwide.
“We are excited to be opening a branch in the Pacific Northwest,” commented Liz & Dick Uihlein. “The City of Auburn is great fit for Uline and our new branch will help us better serve our local customers with faster shipping times and lower freight costs. We can’t wait to move in.”
