Dec. 15

Animal problem: 8:34 p.m., 2100 block of Forest Ridge Drive Southeast. Auburn’s Animal Control officer impounded a stray, severely malnourished dog.

Police helping out: 9:10 a.m., 1015 24th St. NE. Police found a runaway kid at Cascade Middle School.

Trespassing: 2:59 p.m., 25 W. Main St. For being at City Hall where he shouldn’t have been, a dude got himself arrested.

Fraud: 5:53 p.m., 0 block of 16th Street Northwest. Between Nov. 9 and Dec. 15, somebody scammed $3,500 from a man who thought he was buying a trailer over the Internet.

Theft: 9:08 p.m., 10300 block of Southeast 304th Place. A woman reported the theft of a Christmas spotlight.

Dec. 16

Theft: 12:12 a.m., 520 block of 37th Street Southeast. Somebody stole a firearm from an apartment.

Fraud: 2:46 a.m., 2402 Auburn Way S. Somebody fobbed counterfeit bills off on the Muckleshoot Casino.

Assault with hands and fists: 9:24 a.m., 1900 Auburn Way S. A man was walking up Muckleshoot Hill when a person, or persons, assaulted and hurt him.

Dec. 20

Theft: 4:04 p.m., 2305 M St. NE. While a boat was parked next to a residence, somebody stole a trolling motor off it.

Felonious theft from building: 5:07 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. A male stole six backpacks from Coach at The Outlet Collection Mall.

Dec. 23

Vandalism: 10:54 a.m., 410 H St. NE. A local church reported the vomiting days earlier of graffiti onto a retaining wall on their property.

Theft: 12:15 p.m., 500 block of 8th Street Northeast. Persons unknown entered a woman’s vehicle and stole Christmas presents.

Hit and run: 6:15 p.m., 300 15th St. NW. A vehicle struck a bicyclist and left the scene.

Shoplifting: 2:45 p.m., 1425 Outlet Collection Way. An Auburn resident saw somebody enter a store’s beer aisle, choose a six-pack of Bud, guzzle all six brews contained therein and depart the store without paying for, nor even trying to pay for, the fermented beverage he had poured into his beer-engorged belly. An officer contacted the guy outside and busted him for shoplifting.

Dec. 27

Assault with hands and fists: 11:22 a.m., 3428 I St. NE. Police arrested a man for having assaulted his pregnant girlfriend.

Vandalism: 7:47 p.m., 4040 Auburn Way S. Don’t know what malicious thing the person did, but according to police, it involved vandalism.
