Olalla-based artist’s work on display at City Hall Gallery

Artist Janice Tayler’s abstract mixed media compositions are a beautiful representation of the natural environment and urban decay.

Using sand, newspaper, twigs and photography combined with oil paint, she has created a body of work that concentrates on contrasting textures that is juxtaposed imagery of urban landscapes.

Tayler’s bold and large scale artwork is on display at the City Hall Gallery through Sept. 25.

Recently moving from New York City to reside in Olalla, Tayler is an artist, educator and dancer that excels at her craft.

The gallery is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at 25 W. Main St.

Admission is free.
