The City of Auburn has refused to let the Veterans For Peace organization march in the Auburn Veterans Day parade on Saturday.

As a United States Marine Corps combat veteran (wounded in action during the Vietnam War) and a longtime veterans advocate, it’s my opinion the City of Auburn’s mayor and City Council (are mistaken) for allowing this exclusion of a legitimate veterans organization to happen.

Every American combat veteran that I know strongly believes in freedom of speech and says that is why he or she put their life on the line for this great nation.

And everyone of these true American heroes also desires and prays for peace.
