Ed Rosin is the new girls basketball coach at perennial state power Auburn Riverside High School.

Rosin will coach under the interim tag this season. The position, according to school officials, likely will be reopened after the season.

An Auburn High School graduate, Rosin coached for several years at the junior high level in Auburn and Sumner

He succeeds Adam Barrett, who resigned last month to pursue other coaching opportunities.

Under Barrett, the Ravens captured the past two Class 3A state championships. The Ravens finished 25-3 behind a deep and talented lineup. AR returns to the 4A classification this year.
