Too bad there are no adults with functioning brains among the office of mayor and city officials, with the possible exception of Virginia Haugen.

Auburn is such an ugly town, in many ways. It still should have the awful name of “Slaughter.”

Why would city officials think money should be thrown away on street “art” when our eyes see ugly, empty, boarded up buildings along Main Street? And the dragonflies are not even attractive enough to attract the eye.

I’ve run out of excuses to keep my Texas friend from visiting me. There isn’t even a nice place to eat. Applebee’s is the most upscale place to eat. There is certainly no place to dine, nor even shop for something as mundane as a birthday gift.

Until city officials and citizens clean up their act, Auburn will never attract anyone other than immigrants and will forever continue to be an embarrassment.
