The City of Auburn is offering a limited number of parking permits for 2009 to commuters in the Auburn Station garage on portions of the second, third and sixth floors as well as a temporary gravel lot at 2nd & A Street Southeast, north of Herfy’s Restaurant.
Signs indicate which parking spaces are available and maps provided with the permit to identify which parking spaces are included in this program.
The city also is offering a limited number of permits to downtown residents, employees and business owners. Contact the City of Auburn Department of Planning, Building and Community for more information on this program.
Permits can be purchased on the second floor of City Hall, 25 West Main St., from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or by phone with a credit card. Permits for the month are not pro-rated, so interested buyers are encouraged to purchase permits during the first week of the month.
Monthly permits can be purchased for up to a maximum of six months at a time. The cost of the permits is $50 per month at the Auburn Station garage and $20 per month at the lot on 2nd and A St. Southeast.
