Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service between Nov. 4 and Nov. 8

NOV. 4

Foul words: 2 p.m., 12500 block of Southeast 318th Way: Somebody scratched a common 4-letter vulgarity into the paint on the left side of an Auburn Police radar trailer while it was left near 125th Avenue Southeast and Southeast 318th Way in response to community complaints of excessive speed.

Fraud: 8 a.m., 11100 block of Southeast 295th Street. A male – young, old, police didn’t say – reported an unknown person used his personal information to apply for a membership to a California-based pharmacy. A collection agency contacted the guy to collect membership fees.

Theft: 1:10 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way SW. Police arrested two women at Burlington Coat Factory for shoplifting undefined items.

Police helping other police: 4:21 p.m., 2400 block of Auburn Way South. Police arrested a woman on a confirmed Pierce County warrant for solicitation of prostitution, then carted her off to the Pierce County Jail for booking.

Theft from vehicle: 1:30 p.m., 4200 block of A Street Southeast. A woman reported that somebody stole her I-pod, amplifier, and a speaker box from her car while it was parked overnight at a friend’s home at the White River Estates. Police did not give a value for the missing items.

NOV. 5

Kidnapping: 4:30 p.m., 1200 block of 29th Street Southeast. Police arrested a male person for unlawful imprisonment-domestic violence after he assaulted his girlfriend and baby boy. The guy had refused his lady friend access to 911 and refused to leave the house. Mother and child were not hurt, and police booked the guy into the Auburn Jail.

Pest of a salesman: 5:59 p.m., 5300 block of South 302nd Place. A homeowner reported that a door-to-door salesman refused to leave his home and tried to pick a fight with him. The salesman eventually left, then he called police to report that the homeowner had assaulted him. The salesman left the city before police could contact him. If the salesman is identified, police said they will arrest him for criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct.

Burglary: 7 p.m.,

31100 block of 116th Avenue Southeast. A man told police somebody crawled into his home through a back window then tried to steal a large television between Oct. 29 and Nov. 5. The man found his television in the front yard near the front porch, but the burglar had dropped and severely damaged it.

NOV. 6

Assault: 12:25 a.m., 500 block of M Street Southeast. Two adult sisters came to blows in their apartment. Police arrested the sister who started the donnybrook for domestic violence. The victim sister suffered minor injuries but was nine months pregnant, so Valley Regional Fire Authority personnel checked her out. The arrested sister earned a berth in the Auburn jail.

NOV. 7

Purse theft: 6 p.m.,

100 block of 41st Street Southeast. A female person, age not given, left a Metro bus and placed several packages and her purse on the bench at the bus stop. She collected her things, but forgot her purse. When she returned, the purse was missing along with the $560 therein.

NOV. 8.

Mr. Sudsy says go:

10:56 a.m., 2231 Dogwood St. S.E. Police told two persons, genders not given, to depart from Mr. Sudsy Carwash and not come back.

Shoplifting: 5 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way S.W. Store security at Nordstrom’s Rack caught a male person, age not given, swiping shoes and a hat. The would-be thief was found to have pot on his person, too.

Vandalism: 3 p.m., 1005 37th St. S.E. Multiple juveniles were caught spray painting Gildo Rey Elementary School and Mt. Baker Middle School.

NOV. 9

DUI: 2:40 a.m., 1300 block of C Street Southwest. Police arrested a man for DUI after they saw him weaving and crossing the median into oncoming traffic. His alcohol content was over two times the legal limit.
