I want to thank all of the people of Auburn that supported my mayoral campaign and also the candidates who stepped up to fulfill their civic duty. After the primary results were finalized, I took some time to reflect, review and learn from my recent endeavor.

I have compared the two candidates for Auburn mayor. After reviewing and speaking to both candidates, I felt there was only one candidate that has the leadership, knowledge, and perseverance to bring Auburn to a new level of prosperity. Even though I disagree with some issues, I have been assured that the door will always be left open to all citizens, including myself, for suggestions to improve our City.

My vote for the next mayor of Auburn will be for Nancy Backus.
