The Auburn Trojans maintained their hold on first place in the South Puget Sound League North 4A with a 70-58 league win over rival Auburn Riverside on Saturday.

The Trojans (7-1 league, 8-4 overall) were led by senior guard Harold Lee who scored a game-high 23 points and added nine assists.

Junior Marquis Prater added 13 points with nine rebounds.

Senior post Spencer Fisher added 14 points and junior Rio Paul chipped in with 12 points.

“We’re playing well now because our high assist to basket ratio means we’re sharing the ball well,” Trojans coach Ryan Hansen said. “The other thing that gets us going is our defense, we’re pressuring teams. We don’t have a lot of size, but we’ve got some good team speed. When we get that going and share the ball, we can get the high percentage shot.”

For the Ravens (1-7, 3-8), junior Derek Brown had 20 points with senior Cody Crawford contributing 19 points.

Auburn travels to Kent-Meridian (6-2, 8-4) and Auburn Riverside hosts Kentwood (4-4, 7-5), with both games at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
