Auburn Mountainview falls to Decatur in overtime, prepares for postseason | Girls Soccer

Auburn Mountainview girls soccer loses to Decatur in overtime, takes third-place in SPSL 3A. The Lions will begin their postseason at 5:30 p.m. next Wednesday at Sunset Chev Stadium in Sumner against either Highline or Hazen.

The Lion girls fell in overtime to Decatur on Thursday at Auburn Mountainview High School in the final South Puget Sound League 3A regular season game of the year.

Gator Hannah Herbert scored the winning goal in the 85th minute of the match to put Decatur over the Lions.

The loss leaves Auburn Mountainview in third-place in the SPSL 3A with a 7-3-0 regular season record, 8-5-3 overall.

The Lions will play either Highline or Hazen at 5:30 p.m. this Wednesday at Sunset Chev Stadium in Sumner. A win will move the team on to a 2:30 p.m. Nov. 6 match at Camas, with the winner of that game moving on to the state tourney.
