Holland America Line has promoted Auburn’s Monica Desimone to director, tour accounting and administration.

Desimone will oversee and prepare financial information for the tour companies, along with her duties as supervisor to the staff accountants within her department. The appointment is effective immediately.

Desimone joined HAL in May 1999 as a staff accountant for hotel/transportation/tour accounting.

Desimone’s last position, controller for tour accounting, was the culmination of highly successful stints in 2007 as manager, technical planning in the strategic automation group of IT.

Desimone graduated from Seattle University and holds a degree in accounting.
