it’s hard to imagine

piled high with fries
a soda or shake
rounds out your treat

And wasn’t it neat
on Friday nights
from all around car freaks
put on a show
Some peeped – peeped
others roared

It really is sad
our children won’t see
your overhead sign
nor hear of your part
in Auburn’s unique history
