The Federal Way & Auburn Boys and Girls Club and EX3 Teen Center’s 19th annual Breakfast for Kids fundraiser is 7:30 a.m. April 12 at Emerald Downs in Auburn.
King County Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer and Shelley Puariea, executive director of the Federal Way & Auburn Boys and Girls Clubs and EX3 Ron Sandwith Teen Center, will co-host the event.
Seattle Mariners General Manager Jack Zduriencik is the keynote speaker.
The Boys and Girls Club Youth of the Year will make a speech and a student from local Truman High School will sing the National Anthem.
Attendees are asked to make a contribution. While the program seeks major donors to help underwrite the event, the actual per person cost of the event is about $25. To sign up for the breakfast, call 206-954-2926, or e-mail Shelley Puariea at spuariea@positiveplace.org.
Funds raised at the Breakfast for Kids event will be used for student scholarships as well as educational, cultural and sports programs that benefit more than 3,500 deserving youth in South King County.
