July 24

Theft: 10:49 a.m., 700 block of A Street Northeast. Somebody stole a trailer’s engine. No value was given.

Theft: 9 a.m., 29800 block of Green River Road Southeast. Somebody broke into a vehicle on the Auburn Golf Course parking lot, stole a garage door opener and used it later to burglarize the victim’s residence.

Bike theft: 11:30 a.m., 101 Auburn Way S. While a woman was shopping, somebody stole her blue, three-wheel bicycle from in front of Safeway

Burglary: 7:44 p.m., 331 4th St. NE. A man called police after finding that a burglar or burglars had broken into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints he attends and stolen many items.

Vandalism: 6:15 p.m., 920 block of 30th Street Northeast. Trees were damaged on somebody’s property.

July 27

Burglary: 8 a.m., 602 Auburn Way S. An employee of Carquest Auto Parts got to work only to discover that burglars had stolen two generators and an air compressor. No estimate of the value was given.

Stray cat: 11:59 a.m., 1200 Harvey Road NE. Auburn’s Animal Control Officer transported a stray cat to the Auburn Valley Humane Society.

Oops, forgot about that: 3 p.m., 110 Cross St. Only after a woman drove her car to Auburn did it dawn on her that she had previously reported it stolen because she had forgotten where she had parked it at a Tacoma Hospital.

Injured rider: 4:52 p.m., 1116 Supermall Drive SW. A woman participating in a motorcycle safety course sustained a large laceration to her knee and possible other internal injuries. She was transported to Valley Medical Center for treatment.

Trespassing: 7:38 p.m., 524 A St. SE. A misbehaving man got the emphatic, no-nonsense boot from a Chevron station.

Theft: 7:30 p.m., 1815 C St. SE. A woman complained that a thief, or thieves in dishonest cahoots, had stolen her purse and phone from her vehicle.

Trespassing: 8:26 p.m., 2802 Auburn Way S. Management at the Muckleshoot Deli gave the “get out and stay out” to some fellow who was up to undisclosed acts of no good.
