Character counts. On every level, federal state and local, our vital interests are being placed in very real jeopardy.

Now, more than ever, when we have questions and concerns about issues that affect our well-being, we need public servants who are accountable to us, who will put our interests ahead of their own, and once elected will do what they promise to do.

I recently met a candidate for the Auburn City Council, John Partridge, and his wife, Shirlee. In discussing a wide range of topics of importance to us as residents of Auburn, I found his common sense approach positive, refreshing and full of hope for the future.
