Nikita Miskevich, a recent graduate of Auburn High School, recently was honored as the winner of the Auburn International Farmers Market 2012 poster design competition.

The Auburn Arts Commission and Auburn City Council selected Miskevich’s poster design to help advertise the 2012 market season.

The first and second runners-up were also student designers from Auburn High School: Margaret Bruhn and Britanni Rodriguez.

Miskevich developed his design skills through the Career and Technical Education program at Auburn High School. He will be a freshman at Western Washington University this fall.

All three student designers were recognized by the Auburn City Council and Auburn Arts Commission during the Aug. 16 council meeting.
