Vandalism: Overnight, 224 Auburn Way S. A woman was the victim of an act of malicious mischief.

Shoplifting: 9:39 a.m., 721 M St. NE. A man shoplifted three dinner salads from Papa Murphy’s take-and-bake pizza.

Get out and stay out!: 10:54 a.m., 1400 block of A Street Street Southeast. A person made him or herself so odious at a place of business that he or she got the boot and the warning not to show hide nor hair there again.

Burglary: Overnight, 30609 134th Ave. SE. A home was burgled. Burgled of what, police didn’t say.

Fowl thief: 11:34 a.m., 4010 A St. SE. A man tried to engage in some late-morning chicken thievery, but Albertsons security plucked him.

Shoplifting: 3 p.m., 1231 Auburn Way N. An employee of Rite Aid reported the theft of $3.48 worth of undisclosed merchandise. The unknown suspect ran off.

Vandalism: 3:45 p.m., 12700 block of Southeast 312th Street. A man called police because one of his neighbors had thrown property from her second-story balcony onto the hood of his collector vehicle, damaging said hood.

Trespassing: 7:37 p.m., 3520 Pacific Avenue S. When a truck driver refused to leave the Safeway Distribution Center, police busted him for criminal trespassing.

Controlled substance: 7:30 p.m., 1400 block of Harvey Road Northeast. Police arrested someone for trying to buy heroin.

Possession of stolen vehicle: 8:09 p.m., 801 Auburn Way N. A male and two females entered Fred Meyer and shoplifted several items. After making their escape through an emergency exit, one of the three crashed his or her stolen motorcycle then fled with the other two northbound on B Street Northwest.

Sept. 2

Trespassing: 8:17 p.m., 4010 A St. SE. In a short span of time, two misbehaving people learned they were unwanted in an establishment and shown the door.

Traffic offense: 11:15 a.m., 2300 Dogwood St. SE. Police arrested a man for driving with a suspended license and for having a switchblade.

Vandalism: 12:30 a.m., 808 26th St. NE. A woman called 911 to report that sometime overnight a man had shattered a side mirror on her vehicle with a pellet gun.

Shoplifting: 1:38 p.m., 762 Supermall Drive SW. Two men got themselves busted at Walmart for filching steam cleaners.

Theft: 6 p.m., 915 Auburn Way N. Somebody stole a wallet from a locker at 24-Hour Fitness.

Vandalism: 8:10 p.m., 1227 Auburn Way N. The manager of Office Depot called police to complain that a group of unknown youths had just damaged one of the large signs at his business.

Sept. 7

Animal problem: 9:48 a.m., 3700 block of I Street Northeast. Somebody found a small tan dog abandoned and tied to a fence. The owner of the dog was nowhere to be seen, so the City’s animal control officer transported the canine to the Auburn Valley Humane Society.

Vandalism: 5:23 p.m., 504 25th St. SE. A woman called to report that she had interrupted two juvenile boys spray-painting the walls of a laundry room in the C Building of Sierra Meadows Apartments.

Sept. 9

Vandalism: 12 a.m., 13304 SE 307th St. Somebody shot out the windows of two houses under construction with a BB gun sometime between Sept. 2 and 9.

Theft: 11 a.m., 402 21st St. SE. Somebody stole parts off two women’s bikes.

Theft: 10:20 a.m., 1420 block of 8th Street Northeast. Somebody stole a laptop computer from an apartment.
