Police blotter | May 22

Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service between May 14 and May 18:

May 14

Shoplifting: 3:57 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way SW. A boy tried to steal a jacket from The Sports Authority. Police didn’t say if he got away with it or if they arrested him.

May 16

Vandalism: Overnight, 2536 Auburn Way N. Somebody chucked a rock through the front window of Auburn RV. None of the employees saw who did it.

Theft: Noon, 1800 block of 19th Drive Northeast. A woman called to report that somebody in far off Vincennes, Italy, had used her debit card without her permission.

May 18

Theft from vehicle: Overnight, 130 block of 9th Street Southeast. Somebody swiped $500 worth of unidentified tools from somebody’s truck.

Burglary: 7:28 a.m., 220 Auburn Way S. The owners of Clean Wheels car wash told police that someone burglarized the business overnight in some way. Police didn’t say what was burgled.

Burglary: 9:45 a.m., 900 block of Auburn Way South. Somebody entered Auburn Youth Resources and stole a camera and television sometime between May 14 and May 18. Police did not disclose a value.

Strong arm robbery: 4:27 p.m., 2500 block of K Street Southeast. A boy told police that another boy beat him up and stole his tennis shoes.

Bike theft: 5:25 p.m., 627 37th St. SE. Three bicycles were stolen from a group of kids at Mt. Baker Middle School. Two of the bikes were later recovered.

Trespass: Police arrested a man and a woman after they were found in condos under construction. Police also charged the woman with obstructing justice when she ran from police and disobeyed commands to stop.
