Auburn Symphony Orchestra concludes its outdoor summer chamber series Thursday at historic Mary Olson Farm in Auburn.

The final concert of Sunsets at the Mary Olson Farm presents Animals in Music, featuring Saint-Saens’ entertaining Carnival of the Animals, a fun work where you will hear hens, tortoises, an elephant and a swan, among others. The music will be accompanied by the humorous verses of Ogden Nash.

Farm docents give tours of the fully restored farmhouse beginning at 6 p.m. Wine is available for purchase and a shuttle transporting people to and from the parking lot is available one-half hour before and after the concert.

Concerts are festival seating, so blankets, baskets of food and low chairs are encouraged.

Sunsets at the Mary Olson Farm is made possible with support from the White River Valley Museum and Mary Olson Farm; the Auburn Arts Commission; 4Culture; and Sam’s Club.

Founded in 1996, the fully-professional Auburn Symphony Orchestra has over 60 musicians led by Stewart Kershaw, internationally-renowned conductor and former music director for 25 years of the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra.
