The Auburn Trojans were forced to make up a 14-0 deficit against Kent Meridian in South Puget Sound League North 4A action Thursday night at French Field in Kent.

Auburn ( 6-1 league, 6-2 overall) found themselves in a hole early in the contest when Kent-Meridian’s (3-4, 4-4) David Jones found Davontae Bradley in the end zone for a touchdown. A two point conversion put the Royals up 8-0.

Jones again found the end zone in the first quarter, this time running it in from 77 yards to put the Royals up 14-0.

It was the last hurrah for Kent-Meridian however, with the Trojans taking control in the second quarter.

Austin Embody scored on a 55-yard run and Alphonse Wade scored from the 2-yard line to make it 14-14 at the half.

Neither team scored in the third quarter, but Auburn put up two touchdowns in the fourth to put the game away 28-14.

Embody scored his second touchdown from 3 yards out and Wade scored on a 2-yard run.

The Trojans will take on their district rival Auburn Riverside (4-2, 5-2) at 7 p.m. this Thursday in their final regular season game.
