July 30

Automatic fire alarm: 7:42 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters hustling to an automatic fire alarm going off at the Auburn Transit parking garage found that Transit Security had already snuffed an intentionally set garbage fire in a restroom. A fire investigator was looking into the incident.

July 31

Aid call: 10:35 a.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters helped a female who’d been complaining of dizziness and a private ambulance transported her to Auburn Regional Medical Center.

Aug. 1

Brush fire: 2:21 p.m. (Algona). Firefighters extinguished a small brush fire in north Algona. There was no property damage and nobody was hurt.

Aug. 2

Mutual aid: 2:47 p.m., (South King Fire & Rescue). Valley Com dispatched Ladder 31 firefighters to a mutual aid call in Federal Way, where a house was burning. VRFA firefighters arrived when SKFR firefighters had the conflagration under control.

Aug. 3

Accident: 2:22 p.m., (Pacific). A total of five VRFA units responding to a motor vehicle accident involving five cars and 10 people treated the injured  and transported them to ARMC via private ambulance and VRFA aid units.

Aug. 4

Aid call: 2:48 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters treated a senior citizen who’d been complaining of abdominal pain and transported him to ARMC for further care.

Aug. 5

Aid call: 5:48 p.m., (North Auburn). Firefighters treated a man for signs of heat exposure after he’d been found lying face down on the side of a road. A private ambulance transported him to ARMC.
