Auburn had its second serious head-on accident in a week last Thursday when two vehicles collided at the 550 block of Auburn Way South.
At 5:15 p.m. the Valley Regional Fire Authority found both vehicles with heavy front-end damage. There were four occupants in each vehicle. The VRFA and King County Medic One treated two patients for possible internal injuries.
One patient, a man in his early 20s, was treated at the scene and transported to Harborview Medical Center via Airlift Northwest. The second patient, a woman in her early 20s, was treated and transported via Medic 12 to Harborview Medical Center.
Police did not release the names of the victims and did not respond to requests for additional information, including the cause of the accident. But according to the King County Medical Examiner, there were no fatalities.
On June 9, 83-year-old Genevieve Brasmer was killed in a head-on collision at the intersection of West Valley Highway and 37th Street Northwest that also seriously injured her husband, 79-year-old Clinton Brasmer.
