Police blotter
Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service between Oct. 26 and Oct. 24:
Oct. 26
Theft from car: 10:51 a.m., 12200 block of Southeast 316th Street. A man called to report that somebody had broken into his vehicle and stolen his .22 caliber rifle. The rifle had a copper, spraypainted stock.
Strong arm robbery: 6:20 p.m, 1500 block of Auburn Way South. A victim – no gender given – reported a strong arm robbery. Police did not say what was stolen, how it was stolen, the worth of what was stolen, whether anybody was injured or if the robber or robbers got away to do it again.
Oct. 25
ID theft: 9:40 a.m , 3030 R St. S.E. Somebody snatched a purse from a parked vehicle. A short time later, somebody used the credit card and identification to purchase $107.64 worth of tanning lotion.
Assault: 1:12 p.m., 1400 block of West Valley Highway South. Police arrested a male person for second-degree assault after some sort of unspecified act of violence on a Metro bus.
Theft: 2 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way S.W. Somebody stole a jacket from a customer’s cart while the customer was shopping at Sam’s Club.
Weapons offense: 3:22 p.m., 4010 A St. S.E. A male person, age not given, was arrested for illegally displaying a folding knife at Albertson’s. Police said the suspect’s display of the knife showed an intent to intimidate the driver of a car who had honked his horn at him.
Assault on officer: 5:31 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. Police arrested a man for assaulting a police officer and felony harassment after he spat in one officer’s face and threatened to kill another. Police had originally contacted the man for shoplifting.
Oct. 24
Vandalism: Overnight, 800 block of 2nd Street Southeast. Police arrested a man for burning his roommate’s personal items after an argument between the two. The man also had a warrant out of the King County Sheriff’s Office for driving under the influence.
Forgery: 9 p.m., 1415 Harvey Road N.E. A pharmacist at Walgreens called to report that a person of the feminine gender submitted a forged prescription for sixty 80mg Oxycontin tablets.
Theft: 11:30 p.m.,
1500 block of 29th Street Southeast. One male reported giving a taxi ride to another male. Upon reaching the destination, the passenger male ran into the house and did not pay what he owed to the taxi driver.
