MAY 6

Burglary: 9:02 a.m., 805 4th St. N.E. A construction superintendent said that someone had stolen a centrifugal exhaust fan, copper piping and aluminum steps from a job site at Messiah Lutheran Church.

Burglary: Overnight, 2707 I St. N.E. A burglary was reported at Work Source. Though the intruders damaged two locking mechanisms, they took nothing.

Flower filching: 11:44 a.m., 2902 Auburn Way S. Two males allegedly stole flower baskets hanging in front of the QFC grocery store. No value for the boosted blooms was given.

Theft: 9 a.m., 400 block of 37th Street Southeast. Somebody stole a lawnmower from a non-gender-specified person’s yard.

Bomb threat: 1:07 p.m., 30620 116th Ave. S.E. Somebody wrote a bomb threat on the wall of a bathroom stall at Rainier Middle School.

Attempted Burglary: Overnight, 2109 Auburn Way N. A man called to report that somebody had tried to break into one of his commercial buildings. Apparently the burglar, trying to break through a false roof, fell instead onto the curb. Nothing was taken.

Traffic offense: 12:01 p.m., 1500 block of D Street Northeast. A female person – child, teen, young or old woman, who knows – said that a vehicle struck her then fled the scene along 15th Street Northeast.

Assault with a firearm: 3 p.m., Lakeland Hills Way and Mill Pond Drive. An unknown male in a car waved a gun at another male in another car.

Assault: 10:15 p.m., 500 block of 27th Street Southeast. A man got into an argument with his wife, things got primitive and police arrested him for second-degree assault. Seems his bride was unhappy with him because she sent him out to buy crack cocaine and he returned with mere booze.

MAY 5

Trespass: 10:10 a.m., 12400 Southeast 312th Street. Two labor representatives were soliciting union memberships at a construction site when the contractor took exception to said solicitation and chased them off. Somehow in the excitement the reps vehicle was damaged. The representatives were told to get off the property and stay off.

MAY 3

Theft from motor vehicle: 8 a.m., 4100 block of B Place Northwest. Persons unknown cut the fuel line on a truck resulting in the theft and loss of about $100 worth of gasoline.
