Disgusted with Comcast

I'm disgusted with the high cost of cable TV. I recently purchased a new HD TV, but that's not where it ends.

I’m disgusted with the high cost of cable TV.

I recently purchased a new HD TV, but that’s not where it ends. I was told that it needed to be hooked up to HD, which meant going to Comcast to get the equipment and installing it myself. No easy feat.

I had a friend help me install the equipment, but was then on the phone for approximately 20 minutes just to get a picture on the TV. And to add insult to injury, I have to pay an extra $10 per month, and the picture looks the same as it did before the HD hookup. I have to return the old box as well.

Now I can’t use my DVD player because it isn’t compatible.

What kind of deal is this anyway? We are paying more and more and getting less and less for our money. “Customer Service” is a thing of the past. The folks at Comcast just assume that all customers can do this. Wrong.

I am a senior citizen on a fixed income, and TV is my only entertainment. I’m not senile yet, but this new technology is ridiculous and it keeps getting worse.

Am I alone in this? I think not. When is this insanity going to stop? I think everyone out there who is disgusted with Comcast should unite and protest this insanity.
