The Lions drew first blood in the contest – with a 24-yard touchdown pass from sophomore quarterback Gresch Jensen to senior wideout Joey Cassano – but were soon gave way to the Papermakers’ offensive attack, with Camas reeling off 55 points in the first half.

Auburn Mountainview scored twice in the second quarter, with Devon Tandberg booting a field goal from 22 yards out and Jensen hooking up with senior running back Ray Hardaway for a 77-yard TD reception, leaving the score 55-17 at the intermission.

The Lions closed out scoring in the game with a senior Malaci Fowler’s 76-yard touchdown run.

Jensen finished the game with 21-of-41 passing for 221 yards, two TDs and an interception. He also ran the ball 11 times for 10 yards.

Fowler led the team in rushing with 82 yards on three carries and touchdown.

Hardaway had eight catches for 116 yards and Cassano had six catches for 62 yards and a touchdown.

Junior Jason Sele added five catches for 30 yards.

Brian Kelly paced Camas with three touchdowns.

The LIons travel to Battle Ground for a 7 p.m. contest next Friday before starting out their South Puget Sound League 3A schedule against Enumclaw (1-1) at 7 p.m. Oct. 4 at Auburn Memorial Stadium.
