King County Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer hosts a town hall meeting on emergency preparedness on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at Thomas Jefferson High School, 4248 S. 288th St. The meeting starts at 7 p.m.
It is open to the public.
“A Community Conversation on Emergency Preparedness” brings together a knowledgeable panel that will focus on what neighbors and businesses need to know to be prepared before a disaster strikes.
The panel of community leaders includes the King County Emergency Management Deputy Director Jody Miller; Puget Sound Energy Vice President for Corporate Affairs, Andy Wappler; and the Commander of the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Seattle District, Colonel John G. Buck.
“This panel will help answer many questions including who to call, what happens when a disaster occurs and what you need to have in your home or business to be prepared,” said von Reichbauer. “Get answers now before disaster strikes!”
