Family and children’s musical group Caspar Babypants visits the Auburn International Farmers Market on Sunday, part of Back to School/Healthy Kids Day.
The market runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Sound Transit Plaza, 23 A St. SW.
Chris Eric’s music, a steel drums performance and a visit from the library mobile are part of Sunday’s program.
With a cornucopia of fresh products, the market offers a variety of locally-grown farm-based foods, hand crafted items, free community performances and several educational sessions on health, nutrition, canning and gardening.
Remaining Sundays in the market season:
• Sept. 11: First Responders Appreciation Day: Chili Cook-Off. Between Auburn Police Department and the Valley Regional Fire Authority, beginning at noon. All of the proceeds collected from the cook-off with benefit the Auburn Food Bank.
• Sept. 18: Vendor Appreciation Day! Come celebrate with the vendors at the market. Local band Down North performs.
• Sept. 25: Last day of the season. Hal Meng presents a canning demonstration. Food Sense gives a cooking demo. Train Wreck performs music.
