For those of you who don’t like the layout of the Auburn Reporter, i.e., cartoon artistic editorial of Frank Shiers or whatever, keep in mind … this is our only link to the local, social, financial and more importantly, political activities, in our cities and counties.
If we could trust our elected officials to be more up front with what they propose for our area, we could rely on their information to “the citizen rabble.”
Without the Auburn Reporter, those of us who are out of the “loop,” either by choice or purposely by others, I am pleased to have this free newspaper supply me with important issues I need to be aware of and act on.
In these days of closed doors, under-the-table vested interests of elected officials, and others, having a local newspaper is a most important link.
If you don’t like it, don’t read it. But for the majority of us who need this tool, we are thankful to have it.
