Ruth Euphemia Stewart
Ruth Euphemia Stewart of Auburn died July 11, 2008 at North Auburn Rehab Center. She was born January 7, 1916 at the family home in Christopher – 1 mile north of Auburn. She was one of a twin – brother dying within a day or two. Her Christian faith, music and education were top priorities in her life. She was a member of Des Moines Assembly of God Church – and (N.W. Ministries since 1923). She graduated from Auburn High School in 1934 as Valedictorian and shared her faith as the class speaker. She graduated from the University of Washington with Phi Beta Kappa honors and did some graduate work there. Her teaching career included 4 years at Ilwaco, 5 years at Bremerton, 5 years.at Central Bible College, 11 years with the Kent School District and 15 years at the New Life Christian Academy. She won many educational, music and church honors. Lately, she will be remembered by many as the best piano player for the church services at Parkside and North Auburn Rehab. The last time she played was Mothers Day of May 2008. She will be greatly missed – but now she is probably singing and playing the piano in heaven. She is survived by her 3 nieces, Becky Schoenrockof Issaquah, Judy Inkster of Auburn and Janice Halstead of Kent. Also 3 great-nieces and 5 great-nephews. Funeral services to be held Monday July 21, 2008, 4:00 PM at Northwest Family Church, 3535 Auburn Way So, Auburn, WA 98092. Graveside services Tuesday July 22, 2008, 1:00 PM at Mt.
