Doris Irene Driscoll passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on October 4, 2009. Born Doris Irene Lockhart on December 6, 1929 in rural Wisconsin to Eugene Lockhart and Alice Cain, she grew up in Wisconsin and North Dakota with her 7 siblings. She married the love of her life, Clifford F. Driscoll on June 18, 1949 in Hayward, Wisconsin. They lived in St. Paul, Minnesota until 1954 when they moved to Washington.Doris was an amazing homemaker and excellent cook. She enjoyed many hobbies, including ceramics, raising birds, sewing and gardening. She ran a snack bar in Auburn for several years, with her fantastic pies and homestyle cooking being real customer favorites. She was active in her church for many years as a Sunday School teacher. Doris loved her family very much. They will always love and miss her.She is survived by her loving husband Cliff and children Pat Kramlich, Linda Taylor, Allen Driscoll, Curtis and Joanne Driscoll and Monica and Doug VanWagoner. She leaves behind her grandchildren Eric Tandoo, Johnny Harrison, Christopher Taylor, Kim Taylor, Kevin Driscoll, Jamie and Tom Eidson, Julie and Matt Eldridge, Tayler VanWagoner and Nicole VanWagoner. She also leaves behind her great grandchildren Kaylee, Hunter, and Emily Eidson, Madison Eldridge, and Ryan Harrison. She is predeceased by daughter Sharon Marie Driscoll in 1954, her sister Shirley Owens, brother Lester Lockhart and both parents. A memorial service will be held at the Auburn Church of the Nazarene, 1225 29th St. SE, Auburn, WA on October 24 at 1:00 p.m. As we celebrate her life, we remember this extraordinary woman with enduring love.
