Gaylen Dennis Neff
Gaylen Dennis Neff was born in Seattle, Washington May 15, 1951. After battling complications from Diabetes, Gaylen passed away peacefully on March 6, 2010 surrounded by his children, at his childhood home in Auburn. Gaylen graduated in 1969 from Auburn Senior High then studied at Green River Community College. In 1971 he was employed by The Boeing Company, retiring after 37 dedicated years. As a young man he played the steel guitar alongside his father, Art, and played the harmonica and trumpet in band. He enjoyed his yearly hunting trips with friends, bowling leagues, gardening, riding motorcycles with the kids, and was a long time member of the Gearlords Car Club. He is preceded in death by his father Arthur, mother Olinda, and stepfather John. He is survived by his children Christina, Ryan, Brennan, Rachel, Whitney, and Jared; his beautiful granddaughter, Raelynn Gayle; sisters Laurie Shrock, Cindy Neff, and Judy Neff. Services are to be held at noon, Friday, March 12, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Auburn, WA. Burial at Auburn Mountain View cemetery will directly follow.
