Marian Elizabeth Kammeyer

Marian Elizabeth Kammeyer passed away January 10, 2009. She was born November 12, 1925 in McGrath, Alaska to Peter and Elizabeth McMullen. Marian’s mother passed away when she was five and she was raised by Peter and Clara McMullen. The family moved from Ft. Yukon to Auburn in 1940. Marian graduated from Auburn High School in 1943 and Knapp Business College in Tacoma. She worked for Elliott/Schneider Law Firm. She was a member of the Auburn First United Methodist Church. Marian married Dick Kammeyer in 1948 and they enjoyed 60+ wonderful years together. They had a son, Dick and a daughter, Lianne. She was preceded in death by her father; Peter McMullen, step-mother; Clara McMullen Faulkner, and sister; Beverly Russell. She is survived by her husband; Richard R. Kammeyer, son; Richard B. Kammeyer (Julie), daughter; Lianne Sanders (Gary), grandchildren; Jeff Kammeyer, Danny Allen, Erin Kammeyer, Casey Allen, Morgan Sanders, step-grandchildren; Carley Morris and Nick Morris, sister; Pat Graybeal (Ken) and numerous nephews and nieces. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Scholarship Fund at Auburn First United Methodist Church, 100 “N” St. S.E., Auburn, WA 98002 or to The Regional Hospital, 12844 Military Road S., Seattle, WA 98168. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16 from noon to 8:00 p.m. at Price-Helton Funeral Home and Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 17 at 3:00 p.m. at Auburn First United Methodist Church.Online sentiments may be journaled at www.mem.com.
