Cecil J. “Cec” Nielsen, 89, of Auburn, WA passed away on October 9, 2010. Cecil was born on September 13, 1921 in Central City, Nebraska. He grew up in Enumclaw, WA graduating from Enumclaw High School in 1940. Cecil served in the U.S. Army in North Africa and France during WWII. Mr. Nielsen was the former owner of the Nielsen Pickle Company and the Adams Peanut Butter Company.

He is survived by his wife Inga, daughters Sally (Mark)Sternard and Ann (Steve) Mehl, grandchildren Andrew (Tammy

Lynn) Sternard, Alexander (Fiancé Ingrid Larson) Thieman, Joseph (Erica) Sternard and Alyson Thieman. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday October 22, 2010 at the Zion Lutheran Church 25105 132nd Ave SE Kent, Washington 98042. A private interment was held at the Evergreen Memorial Park in Enumclaw.
