The City of Auburn Blue Ribbon Committee offers a free class on handling mental and behavioral health emergencies on Tuesday, Dec. 6.
The free one-hour training session begins at 3:30 p.m. in the Cascade Training Room, first floor, at the MultiCare Auburn Medical Center, 202 N. Division St.
The course strives to increase awareness about mental and substance abuse disorders and will provide basic skills to handle emergent mental health emergencies.
The quick, informative course was written and developed by the Blue Ribbon Committee, which was formed by Mayor Nancy Backus with the goal of transforming Auburn into the healthiest city in Washington by 2020.
