The See Ya Later Foundation, which serves the Auburn area, finished up the spring by helping another area family faced with a medical crisis.

The McCurdy family in Puyallup has 16-month-old twins, Colton and Norah, who were born 16 weeks premature. Colton was diagnosed with retinopathy of prematurity and sensory processing disorder shortly after birth and is nearly blind. The family has spent numerous days and dollars seeking out treatment for Colton, most of which has taken place in Detroit or Denver.

It was the wish of this family for their backyard to be redone, making the ground and grass flat and smooth, with a new play area that included rubber play chips.

While the family was in Denver for five weeks of treatment for their son, more than 30 volunteers from the foundation attended to the project and were able to transform the back yard as well as provide new toys, toy boxes and a barbecue for the family.

The See Ya Later Foundation provides this outreach via its Seeds of Hope program. The foundation seeks to assist families with children in some form of medical crisis.

It also host youth sports events and provide college scholarships to Auburn area seniors.

The See Ya Later Foundation is a nonprofit, faith-based and nondenominational organization designed to help families fraught by a medical crisis.
