Communities in Schools of Auburn (CIS) is coordinating a clothing drive to benefit Auburn School District students from Feb. 1-16.

The community is encouraged to donate new or gently used clothing at any of nine Auburn locations. Needed sizes range from children’s small to adult extra large. New sweatpants, socks and underwear are particularly appreciated.

“Some students don’t even have one change of clothing or they’ve outgrown what few clothes they do have,” said Arlene Pierini, executive director of CIS Auburn. “We often think of children as wanting playthings, but the students we work with are so very grateful to have something decent to wear to school.”
