Benefit comes up big

I am writing to tell you about an incredible group of volunteers who came together to raise $12,150 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at ProfessionalUnionFirefighter.com’s Light My Fire Auction & Concert.

Firefighters volunteer for the auction each year the weekend following the Scott Firefighter Stair Climb. Auction winners gain either a four-hour date or four hours of labor, with winners donating to the Leukemia Society directly.

Many contributed to this event, including the auctionees. The Pit Restaurant & Bar provided the venue and helped in countless other ways.

Many thanks to the volunteers. A big thanks to the local businesses and organizations that donated some 70 items for the event’s silent auction and to all of the people who generously came out to support the event.
