Firefighters attacked and doused an Algona apartment fire early Friday morning that left a man with minor burns, the Valley Regional Fire Authority reported.
VRFA firefighters responded at 4:13 a.m. to a report of smoke and flames behind a four-unit apartment building in the 400 block of 1st Avenue North in Algona.
Firefighters were able to quickly contain the fire on a back deck that had started spreading to the structure.
An adult male resident suffered minor burns to his arm while putting water on the fire before firefighters arrived. There were no injuries to firefighters.
All residents were allowed to return to their homes.
King County Medic 6 and South King Fire and Rescue assisted VRFA crews.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
