Tacoma Stars midfielder Jamael Cox was named to the MASL Team of the Week for Week 18 of the 2017-18 season on Tuesday.

He becomes the fifth different Tacoma player to be handed the honor this season, joining Alex Megson, Alain Matingou, Danny Waltman and Nick Perera.

Cox scored three goals in an 8-6 win over the Ontario Fury last Friday night to keep the Stars’ playoff hopes alive.

Cox has appeared in 16 games this season for the Stars and has 18 points on 13 goals and five assists.

The Stars wrap up the regular season at 7:35 p.m. Friday against the Kansas City Comets. It’s Fan Appreciation Night, with hundreds of prizes to be given out during the game.
