The Auburn School District hosts Paying for College Night from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16 at Auburn Riverside High School, 501 Oravetz Road SE.
Find out about various options to pay for post-high school education at the financial aid information night, including resources like the FAFSA (federal grants and loans) and scholarships.
Computer labs will be open and staffed with professionals to help seniors and their parents fill out financial aid forms.
Admission is free.

The fifth annual Auburn Area Middle School Career Conferences are under way for eighth-grade students. The schedule: Rainier Middle School, 30620 116th Ave. SE, 8:20 to 10:15 a.m. Jan. 14; Mt. Baker Middle School, 620 37th St. SE, noon to 1:55 p.m. Jan. 15; Olympic Middle School, 1825 K St. SE, 12:15-2:10 p.m. Jan. 16. Cascade Middle School had its conference Thursday. Eighth-grade students from Valley Christian School will participate in the event with students from Mt. Baker Middle School on Jan. 15. The Auburn School District, Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce and Communities in Schools of Auburn are partnering to encourage eighth-grade students to stay engaged in school, plan appropriate high school courses of study, graduate from high school on time and set goals for successes beyond high school.
