Florence Lorraine Revell, age 87, of Auburn, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018. Florence was born in Greenbush, Minnesota on July 12, 1930. She was the youngest of seven children born to Neil and Maggie McFarlane.
In 1956, she married Raymond Revell in West Seattle. They both worked at Boeing until moving to Auburn where she chose to stay at home and raise their two boys, Gary and Larry. When the boys were a little older, she went back to work and began a long career at the GSA (General Services Administration) where she served food to many people daily.
Florence and Raymond were charter members of the Green River Ramblers trailer club and made life-long friends as they travelled throughout the Northwest. They also made many trips to Minnesota to attend family reunions. Florence loved people and loved the Lord. She was able to serve both those loves as an active member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Auburn where she used her skills in the kitchen to make food for members of the church to enjoy at various events.
She also loved her family and cherished her tradition of hosting family dinners on Friday nights. Those dinners were special because of the time she was able to spend with her family members including her husband, Raymond; sons, Gary Revell, Larry (and his wife Judy) Revell; and grandchildren, Travis, Rachel, Jacob, and Kyle Revell.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Lester, Lloyd, Madeline, Clarence, Arden, and Russell.
A memorial service for Florence will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, 410 H Street NE, Auburn, WA on Saturday, June 23rd at 2:00 pm. Those wishing to make a gift in her memory may donate to Messiah Lutheran Church. Condolences and messages of support may be left for the family by signing the online guest book at www.weeksfuneralhomes.com.
