The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to reports of a structure fire in the 5600 block of Auburn Way South early Thursday.

Around 12:30 a.m., firefighters found a duplex-style residential structure with smoke and flames visible from one of two attached units. Firefighters entered and determined that the involved unit was unoccupied. The fire was quickly knocked down and extinguished.

There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians.

An adult and three children who lived in the adjoining unit were displaced by the fire.

The Muckleshoot Indian Tribe was securing temporary housing for the displaced family.

Fire investigators are determining the fire’s cause and origin.
