Auburn High School student Alexander Keister recently earned the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout through the venerable programs of the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 401.
Keister’s Eagle project, which is essentially a learning experience in business management, was the restoration of outdoor horseshoe pits and benches at the Renton Lions Club camp.
Eagle projects involve identifying a need in the community, obtaining approval as a qualifying Eagle Scout project, obtaining approval of the benefiting organization, planning, funding, scheduling, managing, executing the project and reporting back. The project itself is beneficial to others, in this case to the users of the camp.
